For a short time I am offering a ten lesson on line curriculum for visual learners at a special price.
When you purchase this item you will own it forever and can begin at your own pace and work on the lessons in any order you want to. It is a way to learn by doing . It is a great value for you or any artist who you know wants to improve their skills and is frustrated by the usual methods of teaching. For those of you who have purchased my book this is a great companion piece because it goes further into describing and demonstrating how to mix for color and mass for value. Here is a link......you will save 20 dollars if you purchase it within the next week . After that the regular price will be 65 dollars. Here is a link

This painting shows steps one , two and three. It was mostly a mid-toned painting so you can see all the mid-toned color dabs. There sure were a lot of those.
What I have learned so far; Painting strategically is where I find the most success. I am enjoying sharing all the things I have learned with my students in the studio and teaching on line. The Fall Into Painting event was yesterday Oct 13th. It was a sell out!
We had 11 people and everybody came with different amounts of experience. Using a visual guide to teaching painting we worked step by step and everybody made value dabs and completed a successful painting. It was a real thrill to be a part of it. What I have learned so far : Plan for everything and then on the day of a special event have fun and roll with what ever happens. The result is everybody learns and everybody makes a new friend. There are lots of exciting things happening in the studio these day. I am teaching live and also on line.
On Oct 13th the Fall Painting event is happening. We will be painting Fall trees and clouds. I have ordered the cookies in leaf shapes and will have other treats as well. What I have learned so far: If you don't try things especially new things then nothing new will happen. So take some risks and jump in , make an event , go on FB live. You never know what might happen if you put your head up! |
